Address: 116 University Pl
Description: Home to the Department of Theatre, Royall Tyler features a 290-seat thrust stage theater, lighting lab, scene shop, costume shop, and classroom space. The theatre hosts three mainstage productions each academic year, as well as a children’s production in December and the spring Festival of One Acts. The building, completed in 1901, was named for Royall Tyler (1757-1826), an American jurist and playwright, best known for writing The Contrast (1787).
