      1. Philander P. Claxton Education Building

         Claxton Education Building, named for late Department of Education head and US Secretary of Education Philander Priestly Claxton, was completed in 1957. An addition in 1983 added more than 68,000 square feet to the building. In 2007, the building was renamed the Bailey Education Complex in honor of alumni Jane and David Bailey.
