      1. James D. Hoskins Library

The original portion of the library was completed in 1931 and named James D. Hoskins Library for the late dean and UT president in 1950. An addition was built in 1959 and the Estes Kefauver Wing was completed in 1966 with a re-creation of Senator Kefauver's office in Washington. The Kefauver wing was later closed and removed due to structural problems. Hoskins Library is built in the Gothic style of Middle Age cathedrals, with elaborate ceilings and arches.
