Historical Info:
Bear Hall was named in recognition of the original Isaac Bear Building, located across the street from New Hanover High School in Wilmington, which served as the first home of Wilmington College from 1947-1961. Wilmington native Samuel Bear Jr. erected the original building as a memorial to his brother, Isaac Bear.
