Joseph International Center is a place where students, faculty and staff can meet across borders, cultures and languages through intellectual, artistic, cultural and culinary exchanges. It is home to F&M's International Studies program and study abroad offices and hosts monthly global lunch discussions. Of F&M's 2,400 students, roughly 1 in 6 are international.
Half of all F&M students study overseas at some point in their four years, some for full semesters, others for shorter, immersive programs over the summer or during winter and spring breaks.
F&M offers courses in 11 different languages, ranging from introductory language courses to upper-level seminars in literature and film. The languages are Arabic, Chinese, Classical Greek, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian and Spanish.
