Description: The Leahy Building was renovated in 2023 and houses the Food Sytems Research Center, USDA Agricultural Research Service Food Systems Research Unit, and the Leahy Institute for Rural Partnerships. The building is named for Senator Patrick Leahy who represented Vermont from 1975 to 2023. It was first opened in 1950 as a headquarters for research and study in the agricultural sciences as the Joseph L. Hills Building.
