Jordan Hall is the main academic and administrative building on the Butler campus. The stately building—its full name is the Arthur Jordan Memorial Hall—was one of the first on Butler’s Fairview campus, which opened in 1928. Constructed with gray Carolina granite with pinkish tinges, it was named for Arthur Jordan, who, in his lifetime, gave over $1 million to Butler—an unprecedented sum at the time. Jordan Hall accommodates: the Business Office; the Butler Institute for Research and Scholarship; the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; the Center for Citizenship and Community; the Center for High Achievement and Scholarly Engagement (CHASE); the Core Curriculum Office; the Center for Global Education; Finance and Administration; Human Resources and Development; Learning Resource Center; Office of Institutional Research and Assessment; Offices of the President, Provost, and Associate Provosts; Registration and Records; Student Accounts; Student Disability Services; and University Advancement.
