The Richard M. Fairbanks Center for Communication and Technology, named for the former Butler Trustee Emeritus, serves as the home for the College of Communication. Student-managed media, including the Butler Collegian, the Butler Collegian online, and the Butler Beat, are based out of Fairbanks. Students also contribute content to BU:30 Sports, IndyBlue Radio, BRIC (Butler Recording Industry Club), and the Media Group using facilities in the Fairbanks Center. Students have access to top-quality equipment in the Center, including a full-size, multi-purpose studio with a lighting grid for video, television, and music production, and professional video and audio control rooms and edit bays. Also available are two music studios and two additional post-production mixing rooms, and state-of-the-art computer labs. All studios feature industry-standard professional equipment and software.
