Torchbearer Plaza
The Volunteer statue, nicknamed the Torchbearer, was dedicated in 1968. A plaque at the base of the statue bears the Volunteer Creed, "One that beareth a torch shadoweth oneself to give light to others". The statue is one of the most popular locations on campus for photos. Torchbearer Plaza, at the entrance to Circle Park, was renovated in 2015.
