Georgia State University’s Child Development Program, a part of the Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education within the College of Education and Human Development, is a unique childcare program within the context of the University.

The centers play a key role in university research efforts, support teacher education programs, offer an ideal setting for students from a variety of disciplines to learn about young children through observation, interaction, and research, and provide a model of “best practice” for Georgia’s early learning professionals at all levels of the professional ladder.

The Program welcomes graduate and undergraduate students and faculty in various fields, including education, music, art, physical education, psychology, speech and hearing, nursing, and social work.
