      Johnson Hall’s interior underwent a radical reimagining by architect Hagy Belzberg in 2014 to create a central campus location for global programs at Occidental. Designed by Myron Hunt and opened in 1914 as one of the Eagle Rock campus’ three original buildings, Johnson houses the McKinnon Center for Global Affairs, the International Programs Office, Choi Auditorium, the Varelas Innovation Lab and the departments of Diplomacy & World AffairsPoliticsSpanish & French StudiesEast Asian Studies and Comparative Studies in Literature & Culture, as well as classrooms and seminar rooms.
