Tulane University partnered with various institutions in New Orleans for the "Sculpture for New Orleans" initiative in 2008. Alongside the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, and the Downtown Development District, Tulane co-sponsored an exhibition featuring modern sculptures by renowned American and international artists, making art accessible to the public.
"Timber" is a glass, steel, and wood sculpture by the American artist, and Tulane professor, Gene Koss. It is on loan to the University by the artist.
