Caroline Richardson currently houses the School of Liberal Arts, the undergraduate programs of School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, and the Murphy Institute.
The building was built in 1958 and is named for Caroline Richardson (B. A. 1895, M. A. 1905) who was a professor of English at Newcomb College and headed the WWI Newcomb Relief Unit, which served overseas.
Previously Caroline Richardson served as a dining hall, the Center for Research on Women, and the Nadine Vorhoff Library which featured Newcomb archival records.
