        1. Merryl & Sam Israel Jr.

The Merryl and Sam Israel Jr. Environmental Sciences Building was completed in 1999 and designed by HGA architects. The building houses a 52,000-square-foot research center designed to have a minimum impact on the environment. The facility includes non-toxic paints and finishes, recycling stations and state-of-the-art solar-activated lighting systems. Additional "green" features include natural ventilation, interactive sun reflectors, which bring sunlight into various rooms, and recycled concrete and wood.

Adjacent to Israel ESB is the Flowerree Courtyard, an outdoor space with large picnic to gather or study.
