CASD’s 1,100 square meter Food Processing Pilot Plant is provincially and federally registered and includes a product development kitchen, sensory analysis lab and a variety of pilot scale food processing equipment. A Quality Management program and a Food Safety Enhancement program
are also in place.
This facility is available to clients for:
- The development and processing of seafood or processed fruit and vegetable products for the purpose of global test marketing
- Developing and evaluating new equipment and processing technologies
- Conducting industrial training workshops for processing employees and other personnel
