Two Level 2 EV charging stations are located on the 1st floor, in the far northeast side of the Sunset Avenue Parking Garage.
A separate parking permit is not required to use the charging stations. However, Butler University faculty, staff, and students must maintain a valid campus parking permit.
Standard Campus Parking Operations
During regular campus operations, EV charging costs $0.40 per kWh. Vehicles may occupy a charging space for up to four hours, followed by a 30-minute grace period. After the grace period, an idle fee of $10 per hour will be assessed. Visitors may park at applicable hourly rates.
Non-electric vehicles parked in designated EV charging spaces are subject to parking citations.
Event Parking Operations
During arts, athletic, and other special events, visitors are responsible for both the applicable flat event parking fee and EV charging costs. Charging remains $0.40 per kWh, but the four-hour parking limit does not apply during event operations.
