Estimated Dates: May 18 to August 17, 2026
Description: Las Lomas Rd. repairs and renovations between University Blvd. and Stanford Dr. on UNM Central Campus, with work focused on deteriorating roadway pavement; replacement of broken concrete driveways, curbs and gutters; modification of parking for safety, and upgrade of pedestrian sidewalks and ramps for ADA compliance.
Bicycle accessibility will also be improved along Las Lomas as part of the project.
A bus bay is being moved from the north side of Yale Blvd. to Las Lomas, west of Yale, to improve traffic congestion and safety along Las Lomas Rd.
Work is being shared and coordinated with the City of Albuquerque due to shared ownership of the roadway, and includes repair of water lines by ABCWUA.
Construction will be phased, with different sections of the road receiving repairs during the project. Traffic control will keep one lane open, with potential intermittent closures to facilitate work.
